Not many mobile devices will compare with the built-in facilities of the iPhone clock application. For its users, the iPhone clock application offers the following useful applications: A world clock, a stopwatch, a timer and an alarm.
Accessing the Clock facility on your iPhone is as easy as tapping the Clock icon on the iPhone Home screen.
The world clock
The world clock application displays the date and time in a number of countries from around the world. In order to view the date and time of a country, simply tap the world clock icon. You will see four countries listed on your screen. You may scroll down to view more countries.
In order to edit or add cities to the world clock, simply tap the plus (+) sign at the top right corner of the screen. You can then a city name on the virtual keyboard on the iPhone. You are free to add as many cities to the world clock as you may want.
In order to remove a city, tap on Edit and then tap the red circle with the white horizontal line in it, next to the city you want to remove.
In order to arrange the appearance of the cities in the list, press your finger on the symbol with the three horizontal lines to the top of the city you want to move up or down and drag the city to where you want it to appear.
The alarm clock
Setting an alarm on the iPhone is very easy. An alarm can be set by following the steps below:
1. Tap the clock icon on the Home screen and then tap the alarm button at the bottom of the page.
2. Tap the plus (+) sign at the top of the screen.
3. Choose the time of the alarm by rotating the wheel on the bottom half of the screen.
4. If you want to set the alarm for more days, simply tap the repeat button.
5. If you want the alarm to appear with a snooze button, simply tap the Snooze button.
6. Tap save when you are done.
Once an alarm is set and activated, you will notice a small clock icon on the top of the iPhone’s screen.
The stopwatch
In order to access the stopwatch facility you can tap the Clock icon, then the stopwatch button.
In order to begin the stopwatch, tap the start button and in order to stop it, tap the Stop button. You also have the opportunity to tap the lap button in order to monitor the time between laps.
The Timer
The timer utility might come very handy when you need to countdown to a certain event.
Accessing the timer facility can be done by tapping the clock icon, then the timer button.
Simply rotate the hour and minute wheel to display the time you need to have counted down. Now you may tap Start if you are ready to begin the countdown.
